Just 2 miles north of the main Sedalia intersection of Routes 122 and 638 (Big Island Highway and Charlemont Road) is a parcel of land through which Meadow Creek flows. Historically, this section has been known as Major's Meadow, but is today referred to as Tolley Meadow. This is the area where I've begun my search to try to identify previous property owners.

This is an evolving "work in process", and I will continue to update the records as I uncover more information. At this point I'm able to document previous owners in the Tolley Meadow area back only as far as 1843, as most of the property was then owned by one person: David Douglass. I hope to spread my search to cover more area and to go back further into history as I continue. Stop back often and check on my progress!
